The class 87s have been stalwarts of the West Coast main line for many years working all manner over services from express passenger to freightliners. They are now all with Virgin on passenger work and 87023 "Polmadie" (formerly "Highland Chieftain" and "Velocity") is seen here at Wolverhampton on a Euston - Wolverhampton service.
