CFL 3009 arrives at Angleur on the 9th September 2001.
After some considerable problems the CFL 3000 locos, identical to the SNCB 13s, are now in regular service on all routes in and out of Luxembourg. Apparently their early problems were associated with causing power surges in the catenary which led to the German locos in Luxembourg station shutting down, and the French engines frying as they had no surge protection equipment.
Their more recent problems however, seem to be their combustible nature as both 3001 and 3020 are now out of traffic after serious fires. The former is at Belfort being repaired, the latter at Luxembourg depot awaiting its fate.
