SNCB 2509 pauses at Brussels Nord on the 25th January 2002.
From June of 2001 the 25s were all to have been withdrawn, displaced by the class 20s moving north as they in turn were displaced by 13s. However the 13s have not taken over the 20s passenger diagrams although the 20 turns have been re-cast to use less engines. As a result of this and problems with the mooted sale of the 25s to SATTI in Italy, the class are still regularly working, but for how much longer?
